Life Drawing

Some of my life drawings.

All figures are naked, if you have issues with nudity, then you have issues in general.

The Human Form )

Pictures are kinda big, I hope everyone can see the whole picture, just use the side scroller. I'm really not that good a 2-D artist compared to some of the people here, seriously. I'm just blown away by some other peoples' work.

SNAPE!
My cheap-looking storyboard for my mid-term animation project.

NeverEnding WakingUp )

You may need the side-to-side scroller on this one cuz my images are always big.

My Name

HAPPY THOUGHTS!
I know a lot of people have asked me through out the years, 'What is up with that name?'
Well, here is your answer!

Emotional Storyboard

HAPPY THOUGHTS!
Homework: Create a storyboard involving a cup of tea or the making of a cup of tea involving an emotional response.

Okay, I suppose people would get a slight emotional response from this. Maybe...

Big Bad Tea )

These images are quite large, so you may have to use the side-to-side scroll on the bottom of the web window in order to see the entire image. Or if you have a nice big computer screen, you should be fine.

The Abstract Storyboard

Homework: Storyboard the act of making tea but do not include obvious objects like spoons, cups, tea bags, kettle. Make it more abstract but still get the point across.

I had trouble with this one due to lack of interest. I think it turned out okay though. The images might be quite large, just warning everyone.

Drawing while bored

HAPPY THOUGHTS!
I drew these last month while sitting in the waiting room of the doctor's office. I wasn't quite comfortable yet drawing from real life, so I drew from magazine pictures. Non of these were traced I just used various pictures as references. Some came out pretty good.

Clickety Click Click )

Hopefully, my drawings will improve over a course of the next few months.

Past Animation Portfolio

fuck yeah!, Aries
I did this over a year ago, here is my animation reel. I used this reel to send to animation companies and schools. I heard nothing from any of the companies I applied for and they were literally in the hundreds. It was a very frustrating time so I decided to look at graduate programs. Going to Europe thrilled me and here I am at the Newport Uni! The story is a little bit more complicated than that but that's the short version.

Reel Awesome from Bre Niebel on Vimeo.

Featuring some modeling and dynamics as well, all the computer animation, characters, and props done on Maya 7.0.1
But that's not all! This reel also shows off some of my claymation (short for clay animation) and Flash works as well.
Music excerpt from Pink Floyd's 'Shine On You Crazy Diamond' (Parts 6, 7, 8, and 9)
Lip Sync audio from the movie, Office Space

That spider was modeled, rigged, and animated all by me. It was a real pain in the ass, but I think it came out quite nice. It's based off of actual anatomical pictures from scientific websites of Daddy Long Legs.

I'm actually using this clip for my animation theory essay thing I need to write. I'm also using clips from SuperJail! and many more!

HAPPY THOUGHTS!
Awesome musician from Canada that animates his own music videos. I'm pretty certain he uses Flash for everything. He does a great job morphing things.
I bought two of his albums, totally worth it.

What Flavour Are You? Hot hot! I am Curry Flavoured.Hot hot! I am Curry Flavoured.

I have a spicy personality. If you can take the heat, you'll love me, if not, I'll probably make you cry. I am not for the faint-hearted. What Flavour Are You?

What Flavour Are You? I taste like Menthol.I taste like Menthol.

I am refreshingly different; some people don't appreciate that. My sharp honesty gets up some people's noses, while others really enjoy it. I am something of an acquired taste. What Flavour Are You?

I also cause cancer, hee hee!

What Flavour Are You? Buzz buzz, I am Coffee flavoured.Buzz buzz, I am Coffee Flavoured.

I am popular in the workplace, even though I am often bitter. I am energetic to the point of being frenetic; buzz buzz, out of my way. I tend to overwork myself and need periods of recovery time. What Flavour Are You?

Due to the fact that there are way too many stupid people on LJ, this journal has gone FRIENDS ONLY. Most likely, you are probably a cool person, but because 'a few bad apples spoil the whole bunch' I had to go friends only. Sorry. Feel free to comment though, and I'll most likely add you!
